Wallet Book Page

I have a little wallet size photo album that has pages the size of business cards. In it there are some mini scrapbook pages of my special peeps.

I had this photo left over from a 12 x 12 layout I did recently and it was the perfect size to do a little page of Ashley.

He is soooo young in this picture! I can't believe that this Easter was 18 years since we met at camp. This picture was taken almost a year later - just before I turned 16. I love how a photo can bring back so many memories and such intense feelings.

Dodgy Daddy Diaper

I can't wait to make these photos into a scrapbook page ...

that nappy was barely holding on ...

... and then, it lost the fight with gravity!

I am pleased to note that I have since replaced the elastic in all of Vienna's fluffy's since this day and now they help to keep up even the most dodgy of Daddy done diapers!

Clever People ...

... who aren't me!

Have been helping out my blog, the fanstastic and amazing Gypsy over at See, Share, Remember made me a header months ago and my clever Ashley put it onto my blog today ... finally ... perhaps I should have just asked him to do it months ago instead of not quite getting to it myself!

You may also notice the new button announcing that I am on the design team for Caz Dezign ... this was also created by the very clever Gypsy and added into my blog by the clever Ashley (coz he has more patience than me to figure out how to do it!).

Thanks heaps clever people!

Christmas Cards 2010

On Christmas Eve Ashley reminded me of the fact that I hadn't made a Christmas card for Vienna ... so ...

while he was creating a QI inspired card for me

I quickly whipped up this totally cute card for Vienna.

It came together so quickly and yet looked sooooo fantastic - Yay! I love it when that happens.
PS Thanks the to the wonderful Gypsy who used her cleverness to take out the star light that looked like it was coming out of Vienna's head in the photo I used. You can check out Gypsy's amazing creative works at http://www.seeshareremember.blogspot.com/ she also does fantastic custom albums and is on the Caz Dezign design team with Glenna, Tania and Me.

Lunch Time

We took Vienna's little table with us when we went camping over New Year's. It is the coolest little table that she got for her birthday from Sarah, it comes apart and fits back into its box making it super easy to fit into the car. It was great for her to eat at, easy to move around to find shady spots and she often had company (of different ages) join her for her meals.

Vienna and Daddy enjoying Mummy's courgette fritters and salad for lunch.

Happy Valentines Day 2011 Part 3

The 3rd and and most important part of this Valentine's Day installment is the creation for Ashley.

It started as a wooden box of dominos for sale at a $2 shop. I freed the box of it's dominoes and gave it a quick coat of white paint a few weeks ago in preparation then I finished this project off at Friday Night Scrap at Caz Dezign Scrapbooking just in time for Valentine's Day. Some paper, rub ons and flowers from my stash, a couple of pieces of bling pinched from Carrie's stash (I forgot to take mine!), and a quick meeting with an ink pad.

Then I added some mini candy papers and filled each paper with sweets for my sweet. Mini glo hearts, pink smarties, message love hearts and rock candy with hearts.

Happy Valentine's Day Ashley xxx.

Discovering Maraetai

In January we spent a gorgeous afternoon discovering Maraetai Beach. We tried out the playground - Vienna liked the slide but was not so keen on the swing.

Then we went for a walk along the beach and out onto the wharf, Vienna seems to be as keen on the water and beach as her Mum is. I always seem so peaceful and de-stressed when at the beach - maybe I should move there!

We carried on our walk along the beach and tried to buy a drink at the cafe but it was closed so we walked slowly back along the waters edge. Vienna LOVED the water and got right on in! We weren't in togs so I had to restrain her before she got too far in.

A gorgeous way to spend a gorgeous summer day.

Dancing

Last week we went with Ashley to Manakau, he was playing guitar with Sarah Aitchison at White Ribbon Day supporting the Womens Refuge.

Vienna loved the chance to share her Dad with others, she made new friends and danced lots :)
It was a great day out although very sunny and hot - I got a little sunburnt (I sunblocked Vienna but forgot myself!)

Hammered

You've never tried Jagermiester Carrie? We had better remedy that ...

She Loves To Shower!

This isn't the first time I have discovered a baby in the shower with clothes on! I am thinking that she must really like the shower and be quite disappointed when the appointed chief baby washer has a shower without her! Luckily he doesn't shut the door to the bathroom properly and that is quite easy to open ... then she just has to negotiate the clothes/towel etc on the floor ... climb over the ledge/step thingy ... push the curtain aside ... and viola!

"Here I am Dad! You forgot to bring me, but it's cool, I sorted it out myself."

Borrowed

While we were house sitting for you Uncle Tony I borrowed your beanie to go outside with my Dad, I hope that was OK. Love Vienna.

Vienna loved all the outside time we got when staying at Uncle Tony's place in Mauku, expecially visiting with Beth the Sheep.

Happy New Year 2010

I used another one of Glenna's cool new border punches to create this page - and then threaded ribbon through the cutouts. The background cardstock is SHINY gold and the 2010 felt numbers are from my use it or lose it stash.

Vienna looks so little!

Going for a Trip?

When Ashley went to Wellington to make a music video with Sarah Aitchison Vienna thought she might like to go along for the trip ...

She looks odd in this photo for some reason ... weird ...

Thieving Oranges

Ashley has been having an orange for dessert each night recently. Vienna likes mandarins and has decided that oranges are pretty yummy also, she thinks she should be able to just help herself ... yoink! Thanks Dad!

Rocking Out With Daddy

Vienna loves MUSIC!

If music starts up when she is in the room it always grabs her attention, she loves to listen and dance to it. She loves live instruments, especially Carrie's ukelele but most of all, she loves Rocking Out with Daddy.

Usually he is sitting down playing when at home but this day she got the full standing version:

Socks

Tiny little socks! They look even smaller next to Daddy's big socks. I love washing on the line on sunny days, getting it hung out in the morning makes me feel like the day is off to a good start. I am loving hanging out all the tiny washing that comes with having a baby, it just looks so sweet on the line and it amazes me that after all these years of everyone around me having babies - I have one too!

Water Skiing Fun

Camp Layout: 12 + 13

A long long time ago (when I was just 15) Ashley came on a water-skiing day that I went to with Youth Group, we splashed and played and had good healthy FUN. Then, at camp, 16 years later, I scrapbooked the photos - good to see I am keeping up to date!

Beth's First Christmas

Camp layout: 6

I love this page and I LOVE the photos! They show that this crazy sheep was still getting a bottle at 5 months old! I love that in the big photo you can see the froth at the side of her mouth! That crazy pair!

Sliding Fun

Last Tuesday we were in the Waikato so we stopped in to visit Kat and family. Ashley took Vienna outside for some fun and games with Renee and Emily and decided that she was big enough for her first slide. She doesn't look too taken with the experience in the photo but I think she actually enjoyed it.

I freaked out a little that he actually let go of her as she slid but I guess that is why she has a Dad as well as a Mum so she does get to experience all that rough and tumble stuff.
