Stack 'em Up

Camp layout 3

Renee and Emily with their cousins Taneka and Kauri at Emily's 2nd Birthday party. I was stoked to have caught this moment of silliness and fun - especially as it ended in a squashed mess a few seconds later!

This page came together quickly and was fun! Yay!

Candle Dipping

Loving these photos of Renee candle dipping at the Advent Fair last year - a traditional event at any Steiner School Fair, I used Glenna's new border punch to make the lacey scolloped edge and the fabric topper from a yummy jar of garlic and green bean pickle that I bought at the market.

Tap Dancing

Camp layout: 7

I invited Kat and Renee to come visit me at tap dancing one evening. I thought that Renee would like to see what it actually was that I kept talking about. They took a lot of photos for me that I used on the artist palette camp challenge shortly afterward, and I snapped of a few photos of them. Renee loved getting to try out my dancing shoes after the class.

This page was a little frustrating to make - I am trying to use up old supplies and I had this organza left over from the matching fairy dresses I made Renee and I when she was a baby (she just turned 7!) and I had a turn on Glenna's sewing maching while she was out shopping (he he - she didn't even know till right now!) but had a bit of trouble with it coming unthreaded all the time - luckily we don't see the back of the paper!

Graduation

Camp layout: 4

Renee at her graduation from Steiner Kindy at the end of 2009, she is now at the Steiner School. It was a lovely day out with a very sweet ceremony and Vienna and I felt very special to be included.

Sliding Fun

Last Tuesday we were in the Waikato so we stopped in to visit Kat and family. Ashley took Vienna outside for some fun and games with Renee and Emily and decided that she was big enough for her first slide. She doesn't look too taken with the experience in the photo but I think she actually enjoyed it.

I freaked out a little that he actually let go of her as she slid but I guess that is why she has a Dad as well as a Mum so she does get to experience all that rough and tumble stuff.

Renee's Pool Party

Renee had a pool party for her birthday this year. Vienna and I went along and had lots of fun! It was Vienna's first swim in a big pool and she LOVED it, she kicked and splashed and wore herself out!

After swimming the girls and Kauri played in the water squirters outside and then we had a yummy lunch and CAKE!!!

Vienna slept through the food and cake, I guess that swim really was tiring!

It looks so weird but Vienna sleeps in her tummy, even in the pushchair!

For Renee's Birthday

Still loving my bind it all! This little number is for my god fairy daughter Renee, she is turning seven at the end of the month.

I love how I can turn odds and ends of scrap paper into a cool personalised present.

Swimming Girls

Renee and Vienna had a swim together after Emily's birthday party on Saturday, Kat took quite a few photos and I just LOVE this one. It is such a great photo. They had a great time together, Renee loved hanging out with Vienna and Vienna loved swimming - kicking her legs and splashing. She was happy to stay in the water for ages.

BMX Chick

Yay! I scrapbooked today! It was great!

Renee Moves On To School

Today Miss Tiny and I drove to Hamilton to spend the day with Renee as she moved up from Kindy to School. This is a very special ceremony at the Steiner school and I felt very lucky to spend it with her. I am very tired now, too tired to think of words to share my day with you but i felt truely blissed out by my day spent with my friends.

Thank You Card

Seeing Paula, Gypsy and Tania's Christmas crafting challenge and fantastic creations has been making me feel very Christmassy and also very jealous of all their crafting. But as I only brought a very small amount of crafting stuff with me to Raglan I am very limited as to what I can create. However, today I made Renee a card to say Thank You for coming to meet Miss Tiny and being so sweet with her. The photos don't really do it justice, it is very girlie with loads of bling and the photos of Renee and Miss Tiny included for her.

For Renee

Renee's school has their annual fair coming up soon. It is the coolest fair and I love going along each year. This year my contribution is 'make your own card kits', I think they are pretty cool and I would definitely have bought one as a little girl. There is a big card, a small card, an envelope, a bunch of coloured paper and shapes and a rhinestone.

I have had lots of fun going through my stash of stuff and sorting out things to help out my best girl, I hope that it passes the Renee standard test!
