Christmas Cards 2010

On Christmas Eve Ashley reminded me of the fact that I hadn't made a Christmas card for Vienna ... so ...

while he was creating a QI inspired card for me

I quickly whipped up this totally cute card for Vienna.

It came together so quickly and yet looked sooooo fantastic - Yay! I love it when that happens.
PS Thanks the to the wonderful Gypsy who used her cleverness to take out the star light that looked like it was coming out of Vienna's head in the photo I used. You can check out Gypsy's amazing creative works at http://www.seeshareremember.blogspot.com/ she also does fantastic custom albums and is on the Caz Dezign design team with Glenna, Tania and Me.

1st Christmas Stocking

Using sparkly brads from last years gift swap, also using Glenna's awesome border punch. Featuring the awesome handsewn mini Christmas stocking that I made for Vienna last year. I love it when things turn out as cool as I imagined.

Christmas 2002

I have made this Christmas tree before but in the true style of each page taking on it's own unique style it looked completely different to this. The little word plaques are from our gift exchange last year, so are the sparkly silver brads Yay!!!

Helping - Jayden Kemp

Camp layout: 9

It was great to finally get this page finished - it has been sitting on the desk waiting for me to buy a new awl (I miss my old awl sooooo much!). I used Ashley's Dad's old portable typewriter to do the text under the title - it was lots of fun to be clickity and clackity! Jayden is helping me to add the final fresh peas to my traditional Christmas pasta salad (Christmas 2008). I love the real leaves and flowers up the left side - they look great and have been in my stash for ages!

Beth's First Christmas

Camp layout: 6

I love this page and I LOVE the photos! They show that this crazy sheep was still getting a bottle at 5 months old! I love that in the big photo you can see the froth at the side of her mouth! That crazy pair!

Cute Food - Christmas Treats

More Christmas treats that didn't make it online before Christmas. These are oddfellow truffles and have been a favourite of Miss Wendy for quite a few years now. They are yummy, easy and fun to make ... they need a hammer!

Cute Food - Christmas Treats

I have finally started some Christmas goodies! As we have a time consuming small person in our house this year I haven't actually done any baking but I have spent this evening being creative with after dinner mints and choc mint biscuits.

And am very happy with the results! Both of these are new to my cute food repertoire.

Christmas Books

This year I added A Kiwi Night Before Christmas to our book collection. We have lots of childrens books on our shelf but I discovered that this is only the 2nd Christmas book. A few years ago when I was teaching at the Montessori School House in Hamilton we put this story on as our Chrstmas play, it was great and I really enjoyed it.

Nanny Mihi's Christmas is part of the great series of Nanny Mihi books, of which we have several. Unfortunately is is my least favourite in the series but it is great to have southern hemisphere Christmas books.

Amazing Apron

When we were in Hamilton on Wednesday we exchanged Christmas presents with Kat, Renee and Emily. Kat had made me this gorgeous apron and matching pot mit, it is the most beautiful fabrics and a great style - so very cool!
